- High-Traffic Durability: Rigid PVC exterior resistant to wear and impact
The XHF306 is designed for large-scale industrial and commercial door assemblies. By utilizing a rigid 20 mm PVC carrier rather than a soft foam shell, this model provides a robust physical barrier that withstands the mechanical abuse of high-traffic environments while housing a highly reactive intumescent core.
Wide-Format Safety Engineering: The increased 20 mm width of the XHF306 is specifically engineered for oversized fire doors and windows where a standard 10 mm seal may not provide sufficient surface area for adhesion or fire blocking. In normal conditions, the PVC exterior offers a clean, stable finish that provides basic acoustic and thermal sealing. Its rigidity ensures that the seal remains perfectly seated in its channel, resisting the sagging or warping that can occur with softer materials over long service lives.
Reactive Life-Safety Activation: The XHF306 remains a passive component until it is exposed to the extreme heat of a fire. Once temperatures cross the 200°C threshold, the chemical core initiates a rapid transformation. At 301°C, it reaches its main expansion phase, swelling to at least 300% of its original 2 mm thickness. This expansion creates a high-density carbonized char that physically bridges the gap between the door and frame, forming an airtight and flame-proof “weld” that stops the spread of fire and radiant heat.
Advanced Gas and Smoke Control: Beyond containing flames, the XHF306 is a critical tool for smoke management. It is laboratory-verified to prevent visible smoke migration for over 90 minutes, ensuring that life-threatening fumes are contained within the fire compartment. With a thermal tolerance of 980°C, the seal maintains its structural form throughout the most critical stages of an emergency, keeping corridors and stairwells clear for evacuation and first-responder access.
